Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru, and mixed martial arts artist who is a part of UFC. UFC in the Flyweight Division is currently in Kyrgyzstani. She is the older sister of her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko, who is a Muay Thai boxer started her professional fight career during her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina later won the Silver Medal in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008, and a Gold Medal in 2011 and in the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003, and she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was achieved by unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko broke her first professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She won via second-round TKO followed by 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA and concentrated on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa with a unanimous verdict and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. The league was dissolved in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera with knees. After this win, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC in her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight after winning the first fight via unanimity. Antonina rebounded from her loss to beat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her three subsequent matches which included a win over Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
