Ashley Graham was born on November 22nd, 1989 in Lincoln Nebraska. Growing up with the rest of her siblings, she was frequently bullied by her classmates due to her huge legs. Graham was diagnosed with ADHD shortly after graduating from elementary school. But, she managed to over come it and other obstacles in her early age. Graham was discovered by a talent agent when she was only 12 in a Nebraska mall. Before she graduated from Lincoln Southwest High School in 2005, she had been featured in billboards and magazines. At the beginning of her modeling career, she faced difficulties being hired because her physique seemed so unique. Graham was offered several jobs as catalog ladies during the course of a few years. However, she was advised by a lot of people that it would only be simple assignments. However, she managed to prove session casters wrong as her career progressed quickly. Sally Singer interviewed her for "Vogue's" 2007 issue, giving her an opportunity for her first breakthrough. She appeared on the "Glamour Magazine" article "These Bodies are Beautiful at Any Size". Then, making headlines again, Graham starred in a controversial Lane Bryant ad that was ultimately banned in numerous countries. The commercial had received over 800,000 views by the time it was pulled from YouTube. The controversy grew to the point that Graham was a guest on Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show." Graham became well-known and one of most popular plus-size women of today. Grande was a young girl at the time she started singing and acting. The role she won was 13 on Broadway in 2008 and began appearing in minor role in TV shows. The part she played on Victorious, a Nickelodeon television show in 2010 was her first big breakthrough. The show featured her as Cat Valentine a teenage girl attending a performing art school. After the demise of the sitcom in 2013, she appeared on the sitcom Sam & Cat.
